"Coats for Kids" Campaign

(October 26, 2009) From October 1-20, Capitals again sponsored a "Coats for Kids" collection drive. Approximately 100 used coats were donated this year!  The Boise Capital Soccer Foundation would like to thank all the individuals and teams that donated coats during this year's "Coats for Kids" campaign.  In addition to all the teams and individuals that contributed, the Foundation would like to thank:

• Soccer, Etc., which graciously set up a collection box at its store and also provided a 20% discount to anyone who dropped off a coat. For all your soccer needs, stop by Soccer, Etc. at 5200 Fairview in Boise or visit its website at www.socceretc.us.
• Cross Town Movers, which donated collection boxes. Cross Town Movers is your choice for local moving in the Treasure Valley, serving Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Nampa, Caldwell, and surrounding areas. Visit Cross Town's website at www.crosstownmovers.net.
  
• Baird's Dry Cleaners, which cleaned all the donated coats at no charge. Baird's is a family-owned business that has been in the Boise valley for over 25 years. • Idaho Youth Soccer Association ("IYSA") for helping to publicize the "Coats for Kids" campaign!
  

Kuna Night Parade

(December 2008) The GU10 Hucles soccer team built a float and participated in the Kuna Christmas Night Light parade.  The team won 2^nd place in the parade. Congratulations to all the players and their families!

U15G Select Spread Christmas Cheer

(December 2008) The U15G Select team earned money by babysitting, working odd jobs and saving their allowances.  They earned approximately $300 and then went shopping for four needy children.  They purchased some jeans, shirts, pajamas and items like books and toys.  What a great way to celebrate the meaning of Christmas!   Our thanks to the team, the parents and Coach Strodtbeck on a very nice team event.
