Happy 20th Anniversary BCSC!

(September 2009) This September marked the 20 Year Anniversary of the Boise Capital Soccer Club. The Club was formed in 1990 with five boys teams and a devoted core of parents and coaches. In 1991, girls teams were added to the club. The initial club goal was to provide competitive soccer players an environment to improve soccer skills, as well as to learn positive life skills and a strong work ethic.
That early vision has grown through the years. Today, the Boise Capital Soccer Club regularly fields two teams at most U11-U18 age levels and nearly 1,000 kids ages three through ten participate each fall and spring in our Youth League. Our coaching staff has grown from a handful of volunteers to four full time employees guiding and directing the curriculum of the club, all lead by the United States U18 Women’s National Team head coach Dave Chesler who also serves as the Director of Coaching and Player Development for the Boise Capital Soccer Club.
The Boise Capital Soccer Complex is currently being prepared for Phase II of growth; adding field lights, a paved parking lot, a turn lane off Lake Hazel Road and landscaping with nearly 60 trees and over 350 shrubs planned. Various activities are being planned throughout the year to celebrate this momentous occasion. Currently 20 Year Anniversary T-shirts, shirts and similar memorabilia are being ordered and will be for sale soon.
The current Boise Capital Soccer Foundation Board and Boise Capital Soccer Club Board would like to thank all the past and current players, families, coaches and sponsors for helping make the Club the outstanding organization that it is today. Here is to a great 20 years, and looking forward to the next 20 years.
